If you have been on OddBlogger previously, you must have been seeing Pixel 2 leaks from more than 6 months. But it is time to leave those leaks and rumors behind as Google has finally revealed Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL.
This is the final image of Google pixel 2 XL in “Just Black” color.
Camera
As we know, Google Pixel’s camera was one of the camera in available flagship devices. And this time, with Pixel 2, it is no exception. Although, Google decided to not go with the trend of dual cameras, which would have been a very hard and risky decision, but their technology behind the single camera and camera software doesn’t really need a dual camera setup to do things which phones with dual camera do these days like Portrait mode, DSLR effect in photos.
Pixel 2 is the highest-rated phone camera by DxOMark.
DxOMark gave the Pixel 2’s camera a whopping 98 out of 100. iPhone 8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8 received scores of 94.
Hardware
The best thing about the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL is, both phones will have almost the same hardware under the hood. Pixel 2 is going to sport the latest and greatest Snapdragon 835 which is more efficient than the 821 in Pixel 1. So it will help the battery little better. Both the phones will come loaded with 4 GB of RAM. Both the phones comes with 64 GB and 128 GB option.
Here’s the part of launch even where Google made fun of apple:
Display
Now this is where you will be seeing a major difference in between Pixel 2 and Pixel XL.
Pixel 2 sports the same 5-inch FULL HD AMOLED display with 16:9 aspect ratio. The only differences comes at the screen protection. Pixel 2 now uses Gorilla Glass 5 instead of 4. Pixel 2 has 67.9% screen-to-body ratio.
Pixel 2 XL sports a 6-inch P-OLED display with aspect ratio of 18:9 and resolution of 2560 x 1440. And what makes the Pixel 2 XL beautiful is 76.4% screen-to-body ratio with 18:9 aspect ratio with curved screen.
